The concept behind Shagun Weddings is to create for the special couple exactly what the Hindi word 'Shagun' means, 'a precious moment'.
“To treat every wedding as if it is our daughters wedding”.
In Hindi, Mandap translates to a covered structure with pillars. The Mandap serves as the altar for Indian weddings, specifically for Hindu and Jain ceremonies.
The reception is a party to celebrate the marriage ceremony of two people with their nearest and dearest.
Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage, also known as Shagun.

Shagun did an amazing job with our mandap and reception decor! When deciding which decor companies to go with we spoke to a few and after our call with Shagun (Roshni) we knew they were right for us. Roshni was to the point and knew what she was talking about. Roshni took the time to listen and understand our vision and how to make it work within our budget, whilst making honest and very helpful suggestions along the way. There were many times throughout the planning process I would panic or change my mind and Roshni was so patient, she would call me and talk me through my thoughts. I remember on one call I said i'm most stressed about how the decor will look and she said why, you really have nothing to worry about and she was right. Honestly on the day the mandap took my actual breath away, all the guests commented on how beautiful it was and it was exactly how i envisioned it. A few months prior to the wedding Kiran called to discuss logistics with us and even spoke to the venue to sort early access. I would 100% recommend Shagun!
